John is a Paralegal who assists on a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious commercial matters with a special focus on employment law. He obtained his law degree from the University of Bristol and holds both the BPTC and LPC qualifications.
Prior to joining Fortune Law, John was a fee-earning litigation paralegal. His litigation experience has honed his skills in drafting and negotiating reasonable settlement offers for his clients.
John’s foreign jurisdiction work includes successfully representing a claimant litigant-in-person in the Industrial Tribunals of Northern Ireland as a Lay Representative (Case Reference: 2238/15). As of 2018, the case remains the only sexual orientation harassment claim to have been successfully made through a Lay Representative in Northern Ireland within the past eleven years.
John hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His role models include his mother and sister who he credits as being major inspirations in his life.
Outside the office, John enjoys reading, spicy food, MMORPGs, Korean dramas as well as spending time with his cat and loved ones.
